Helix

A CDC response team is called to investigate a reported viral outbreak at a huge arctic scientific research facility located far enough north to be outside the laws of any country. Upon arriving it is discovered that the virus has been modified at the facility. The CDC team, along with the facilities staff, immediately begin working together on the cure research.  Many of the people who are sick are made to spread the virus as though they are possesed. Soon it becomes clear that there are interested parties beyond the facility. Secret relationships come to light and evil deeds are exposed.

Numb3rs

Numb3rs is about a young man, Charlie Eppes(David Krumholtz),  who has a gift with mathematics and his brother, Don Eppes(Rob Morrow), an FBI agent. Both brothers are at their fathers house and Don leaves some current FBI case paperwork and maps lying on a table. Curious, Charlie takes a look and finds mathematical patterns in the data and feels he may be able to help his brother with his case. When Don returns Charlie convinces him to allow him to try. Due to his success Charlie becomes an FBI asset.

Supernatural

The series follows the lives of two brothers, Sam(Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester(Jensen Ackles). These brothers grew up following their father, John Winchester(Jeffery Dean Morgan). John Winchester began traveling around hunting monsters when his wife died(I won’t spoil it). Dean followed in his father’s footsteps right away, Sam had a harder road(I won’t spoil it) but wound up hunting with Dean after their father disappeared. Sam and Dean are supported by a family friend and highly experienced monster hunter, Bobby Singer(Jim Beaver), Oh you will really like Castiel (Misha Collins) too.

Life

A LAPD detective is released after being wrongly imprisoned for 12 years.  Upon his release he is awarded a multi-million dollar settlement and everyone expects him to retire in comfort. However…

Copper

Copper is set in the 1860’s Five Points area of New York City.  Detective Kevin Corcoran(Tom Weston-Jones) is a Irish cop for Five Points. Kevin joined the police after serving in the Army for the Union.  Five Points is a tough area with people of diverse ethnic backgrounds ruthless business people and lot of vice.

Medium

Do you believe in psychic powers? Do you believe a ‘medium’ can talk to the dead. Well whether you believe  or not I think you might enjoy ‘Medium’. 

Leverage

I really like Leverage a lot.  I guess it is kinda like the old A-Team idea of a highly skilled team working outside the law to help people who have no legal recourse.  Each individual in the team is highly versatile but each has a specialty at which they are exceptional.  

Django Unchained

I wanted to present only positive reviews on this blog but after contemplation and a discussion with my nineteen year old(blog site here).  I have decided that when I find media I feel very strongly about I must present my opinion. Django Unchained is a movie I have to review.

The Blacklist

The Blacklist is an amazing NBC television crime drama series available on Netflix, Hulu Plus, and VUDU.  It is now going into a second season.  It is full of action, conspiracy, intrigue.  There are plot twists and surprises and a really good backstory.
