Crazy Taxi City Rush – App Review

Crazy Taxi is a mission based application published by Sega. It’s really a fun game that keeps you coming back, The game allows you to choose your driver, buy the taxi that you want, upgrade your taxi, and add decorations to get more cash. The major enjoyable part is that the game has multiple maps, and it allows you to beat your previous scores. I also enjoy the fact that the whole thing seems to have a story line.

ElderlyIron

Jeff Bradshaw is an American YouTuber that I enjoy watching. I’ve been watching his videos for a long time. I really like old vehicles, especially old trucks and tractors. He usually divides a project into segments. He does a really good job with his camera work and audio. He works the way any good backyard mechanic does. He has also shown some of the work he does around his little farm. A really appreciated part is that he doesn’t swear, G rated as far as I remember.

Jeff works hard at making and editing his uploaded videos and deserves recognition. I hope I can send a few people his way.

Cast includes: Jeff Bradshaw, his goats, his chickens, at least one dog, at least one cat

I, Frankenstein

Frankenstein’s monster has been on the run fending off attacks by demons for 200 years. A policeman is killed trying to intervene in an attack in an American city and this causes the guardians of the human race, gargoyles, to intervene. They discover that the demons want Dr. Frankenstein’s ability to reanimate corpses to create hosts for more demons. Since the gargoyles and the demons are adversaries keeping the reanimation technology away from the demons is vital to them too because of what a demon army would do to the human race.

This movie is well done. This movie has some negative reviews out there and for the most part I can’t get through their jargon to figure out why. Don’t listen to the negative people out there. Judge for yourself but I enjoyed it. If you did not, why not? The effects were good, the lore was well thought out, There certainly was nothing wrong with the acting.

Happy New Year! Best of luck to everyone!

A Princess for Christmas

This is a Hallmark movie. Jules Daly, of Buffalo, NY, winds up the gaurdian of her niece and nephew, Milo and Maddie, when her sister and brother-in-law pass away.

There is trouble and Jules loses her job. Christmas prospects look pretty bleak. A surprise visit from the butler of the childrens’ paternal grandfather, Duke Edward of Castlebury, brings an invitation to spend Christmas with the Duke at his home. Read more of this post

The Lone Gunmen

I have always loved the electric guitar playing the Star Spangled Banner!

The Lone Gunmen was a Fox Network spin-off of the X-Files. The last episode was aired mid 2001. It is about 3 good-hearted conspiracy reporters who publish a very small underground newspaper called The Lone Gunman. The mission for their newspaper is to root out conspiracies and coverups because they strongly believe the people have a right to know the truth, For the record I agree and that’s one of the many reasons I enjoyed this so much. The Power of Nightmares

How do they get most people to except such top-heavy government? How do they get to spend well over half a trillion dollars at the U.S. Department of defense? How do you get to watch you own people like Big Brother in George Orwell’s book ‘1984’. Read more of this post

Firefly

If you are looking for an utterly unique show to watch this is it. Firefly had one season the last episode was aired July 2003, but there is a huge following of fans to this day…including me! Fans refer to themselves as Browncoats for the uniform coats worn by the main character during his military service.

An ex-military man buys a small cargo spaceship classified as Firefly class and makes himself captain. The captain is joined by a military veteran he served with, her husband as pilot, a gung-ho badass, and a brilliant mechanic as crewmembers. More folks join as the story progresses and I think every character added makes the show better and none are superfluous. Oh there is also a character who rents one of the two shuttles on the Firefly and that character really gets my attention! Read more of this post

Little Fuzzy by H. Beam Piper

little_fuzzy_aceThe place is the planet Zarathustra there you will accompany Little Fuzzy and his family who aided by a few friends as they struggle to have fuzzies recognized as a sapient species with dire consequences if they fail.

Many years (four decades!) ago the book ‘Little Fuzzy’ was handed to me by a family member who had just finished it.  On the cover was a lean older man with a furry little bipedal creature on his shoulder and four more of the creatures around him.  The man was carrying a what appeared to be a futuristic rifle and his little companion was carrying a metallic spear-like tool with a blade on one end and a ball on the other end. Sherlock

I am a confirmed Sherlock Holmes fan I read all Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories before I was 13 and still return to them on occasion now.  I resisted a modern adaptation…but I need not have.  Benedict Cumberbatch plays a fantastic Sherlock Holmes and Martan Freeman’s portrayal of Watson is spot-on.  The writers adaptation of original stories was done with great skill preserving Doyle’s tone while modernizing the story line has in my opinion been accomplished.  Read more of this post
