Oliver Queen is the son of a very wealthy businessman. During a cruise the yacht he is on sinks and Oliver’s girlfriend is lost and presumed dead.  Oliver eventually makes it to a rugged north China sea island where he must fight to survive.  Oliver escapes the island and takes his hard-won skills back to his home, Starling City and begins fighting crime and righting wrongs.
